The secluded estate spans 50 acres and will be exclusively yours to share with your loved ones throughout your stay. The standard hire includes three days and two nights, providing ample time to enjoy the function spaces for ceremonies and celebrations. They offer on-site accommodation for 55 guests, with options ranging from the historic Wedderlie House and charming country cottage to cosy cabins and a converted hayloft.

Despite its serene seclusion, the venue is conveniently located just 30 miles south of Edinburgh, 40 miles from Edinburgh Airport and within 80 miles of both Glasgow and Newcastle.

When you book Wedderlie House, the rental price includes:

• Exclusive use of the 50-acre estate, featuring a charming central courtyard adorned with atmospheric festoon lighting. The grounds offer picturesque lawns, a serene walled rose garden, lush grassy paddocks and native woodland. A magnificent tree-lined avenue leads to the mansion house from the north, while the south provides uninterrupted views of the rolling Borders countryside. You'll also find an all-weather sports court, a riding arena and scenic walking routes. With an array of stunning outdoor ceremony spots, every wedding at Wedderlie is truly one-of-a-kind.

• Two meticulously restored historic barns boasting exposed beams and original sandstone walls. These barns provide the perfect blank canvas for an indoor ceremony or an intimate wedding breakfast. Connected to the barns is the Stables bar, ingeniously constructed within an old horse stall, which transforms into an atmospheric party space after dark.

• An elegant marquee located in the garden next to the Stables, accommodating your wedding breakfast with seating for approximately 140 guests at round tables. Please note that starting from April 2024, the marquee will be replaced by the newly constructed permanent "Lodge Barn" that will be ready for the Spring season.

• Accommodation options for 55 guests spread across the estate, complete with towels and linen. The historic mansion house, country cottage, and converted hayloft feature domestic kitchens for your convenience. Additionally, the charming log cabins provide further accommodation and they can accommodate extra guest beds upon request. In total, they can house approximately 55 guests on-site.

• Arrival and departure times set at 10:00 am on day one and 2:00 pm on day three. This generous timeframe allows ample opportunity for you and your guests to savour every moment of your special occasion. They also offer the flexibility to add additional days and they will be delighted to discuss your ideas to help you maximise the potential of your unforgettable weekend.

While their prices are based on weddings with a maximum of 130 guests, they can accommodate larger events with additional negotiation. In such cases, there may be extra costs involved if an additional larger marquee and catering tents are required. Rest assured, they have plenty of space to host weddings of any size and they are committed to working with your requests to find the ideal solution.
