Debbie puts her thirty years’ experience as a TV presenter to good use as a fully trained and accredited wedding celebrant. She is a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants.

After 31 years of marriage herself, she is still an incurable romantic and believes that life should be full of love, laughter and celebration. She is a native of Liverpool and perhaps that is why her empathy and humour often leave her couples and their guests laughing and crying in equal measures.

She has been known to lend her own wedding ring for the ceremony in emergencies, remove make-up stains from bridesmaids’ dresses and calm even the most nervous of couples.

Trained by the BBC, she gives of her time generously to write the perfect script, skilfully weaving in the couple’s story and personalities so that the service fits them like a bespoke suit from Saville Row. You can exchange rings, write personal vows or use traditional ones. The ceremony can be completely non-religious or with a prayer or two if you’d like. Perhaps you’d like to light a unity candle, drink from the Scottish loving cup, have a simple handfasting ritual, or Tequila ceremony? It is your day and you are in charge.

You are free to complete the legal paperwork for your marriage either before or after your wedding celebration with Debbie.

As a graduate in Modern Languages, Debbie can also perform some content in French, German, Portuguese and Italian.
